Key Responsibilities:
- Develop an efficient day-to-day community engagement plan with facility-based data collectors, including work plans and support supervision.
- Coordinate and support data collection of end-of-pregnancy Case Record Forms (CRFs) at maternity and post-natal clinics.
- Coordinate home visits with field workers and community health promoters to collect missing end-of-pregnancy assessment data for home deliveries.
- Review and develop study CRFs and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), ensuring standardized methods are used.
- Train and supervise data clerks supporting health facilities.
- Ensure facility-level recruitment progresses as planned and predict changes that warrant adjustments in recruitment strategies to meet study enrollment timelines.
- Train and support ANC staff on using Kenya EMRs and ensure study-specific variables are well-captured.
- Liaise with stakeholders to ensure data linkage between Kenya EMR and eCHIS for trial participants is well-captured.
- Monitor and evaluate participant recruitment, retention, and data completeness in collaboration with facility-level data clerks, taking immediate remedial action when required.
- Maintain excellent relationships with community health promoters, ANC staff, study participants, and their communities.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory and ethical requirements, study protocols, and administrative requirements among field data clerks and community health volunteers.
- Ensure accurate documentation of project activities and provide training and ongoing monitoring of field activities.
- Work with the project team on the development of project documentation.
- Organize monitoring of the study and address queries raised by the study data manager, internal monitors, trial manager, and co-investigators.
- Work closely with the data team, field data clerks, and trial manager to ensure field data is received promptly and is of high quality.
Requirements:
- Fluency in English and Kiswahili.
- Proficient in computer application skills.
- Willingness to reside within the study site.
- Diploma in Kenya Registered Community Health Nursing, Nursing, Kenya Registered Midwifery, Nursing/Midwifery, Nursing/Mental Health and Psychiatry, or any other equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.

- Minimum experience of two years of direct patient contact in a hospital setting.
- Minimum experience using hospital EMRs.
- Must have a valid Practising License from Nursing Council of Kenya.
