Job Purpose: Coordinating and expediting the flow of work and materials within or between departments according to daily and weekly production schedules.

Requirements:

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Responsible for the monthly production schedule and the weekly filling plan, providing regular reports on the production status.
  • Monitor, analyze, and report performance to schedule production activities using information derived from material and production control systems.
  • Coordinate with departments to identify and resolve issues regarding meeting daily targets and delivery.
  • Measure Plant Production Performance, conduct timely reviews of drivers through tools for continuous process improvement.
  • Coordinate order fulfillment for local and export markets, providing favorable Estimated Receipt Dates (ERDs) promptly.
  • Act as the MRD focal point for new product introductions, ensuring timely set up of SKUs in the system.
  • Responsible for the timely review of backorders and drivers for On-Time-In-Full (OTIF) failures through RCA models.
  • Coordinate fulfillment of Vivo Energy Kenya purchase orders and ensure timely daily invoicing of sales.
  • Receive all customer orders and communicate ERDs within 48 hours.
  • Responsible for ullage tracking and reporting to manage exposures.
  • Act as the principal assistant to the Planning Manager role in their absence.

Key Challenges:

  • Ensure timely availability of stocks ON TIME IN FULL against challenging sales forecast signals.
  • Cross-functional interface to deliver results.
  • Manage changing demands and customer priorities.

Job Knowledge, Skills & Experiences:

  • University degree, preferably in a business-oriented field.
  • Supply chain experience with demonstrated exposure to planning is an added advantage.
  • Four years of working experience.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel.
  • Experience with SAP ERP strongly recommended.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
  • Attention to details and adherence to timelines.
  • High integrity and strong character.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
