Head of Sales – Fertilizer at Corporate Staffing

Qualification: BA/BSc/HND, MBA/MSc/MA

In this role, the main focus is to provide support and strategic guidance in the development of the Eastern African market. This involves enhancing sales operations in Kenya while leveraging global agronomic expertise.

Responsibilities:

  1. Recruit and develop a diverse junior sales team.
  2. Expand sales prospects in Kenya.
  3. Acquire new customers.
  4. Manage relationships.
  5. Handle quotes/pricing.
  6. Secure new orders and conduct sampling.
  7. Promote our products.
  8. Conduct market, product, and competitor analyses.
  9. Offer support in agronomy advisory services in Kenya and Eastern Africa for all kinds of crops.
  10. Participate in annual trade fairs representing the company with technical knowledge.
  11. Drive sales and provide agronomic support to customers.

Skills and Qualifications:

  1. A mandatory degree in Agronomy or a related field.
  2. A Master’s in an agriculture-related program is advantageous.
  3. Minimum of 7 years of professional experience, including 3 years of leadership experience.
  4. Keen interest in contributing to a leading global fertilizer organization.
  5. Leadership experiences with strong strategic skills.
  6. Ability to travel constantly, including cross-border trips.
  7. Fluency in English and possession of a valid driver’s license are essential.
  8. Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office.
  9. Strong negotiation and analytical skills.
  10. Effective verbal and written communication abilities.
