POSITION REPORTS TO: Superintendent, HVAC

OVERVIEW:

Responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC/Refrigeration equipment and components. This includes split, window, package, and whole facility units, chillers, and freezers installed in various types of facilities for warm base operations IAW the PWS.

DESCRIPTION OF JOB TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provides leadership to create processes required for the execution of HVAC mechanical services, ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness.
• Directs the activities of the HVAC crew.
• Installs, services, and repairs environmental control in commercial establishments, utilizing knowledge of refrigeration theory, pipefitting, and structural layout.
• Mounts compressor and condenser units, follows blueprints or engineering specifications.
• Fabricates, assembles, and installs ductwork and chassis parts using portable metalworking tools and welding equipment.
• Connects motors, compressors, temperature controls, humidity controls, and ventilation fans.
• Ensures work is done IAW approved plans and specs.
• Ensures compliance with policies, regulations, directives, and technical publications.
• Performs maintenance on HVAC units to ensure safe and reliable service.
• Conducts maintenance and testing on HVAC systems to ensure proper operation.
• Cleans HVAC ducts to ensure they function properly.
• Maintains a positive work atmosphere and a safe, clean working environment.
• Moves materials and equipment to work locations and sets up work sites.
• Completes records, maintains tools and equipment, and performs various cleanup activities.
• Responsible for the precise execution of company time reporting procedures.
• Follows safety rules and procedures, including wearing required protective equipment.
• Performs other duties and activities as directed.

BASIC JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

• Technical skill to identify repair requirements for HVAC equipment.
• Expert knowledge of equipment manuals for servicing, operations, and repair of HVAC systems.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings/schematics/blueprints and manuals.
• Physical ability to perform activities like bending, standing, climbing, or walking.
• Proficiency in the English Language.
• Must pass overseas medical screening and be in good health.
• Must have a valid country of origin’s driver’s license.

SPECIAL CERTIFICATIONS OR TRAINING:

• EPA – US Environmental Protection Agency Section 608 certified (Type I, II, or III).
• EPA – US Environmental Protection Agency Section 608 “Universal” Certification.

EDUCATION:

• Must be at least a High School, Vocational, or Technical course graduate.

EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in the installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC units as a Foreman, Leadman, or in a Supervisory capacity on various construction projects.

BASIC TERMS OF THE JOB OFFER:

• Assignment Duration: 12 months (Renewal subject to performance and project status).
• Base Monthly Salary: $550.00 (based on 48 hr. work week requirement).
• Working schedule: 48 hours per week (8 hours per day/6 days a week).
• Payroll period: Monthly.
• Overtime: Paid at the base salary rate.
• Accommodations: Housing, transportation, meals in-country, and laundry facilities provided.
• Sick Leave: 2.67 hours accrued for each full month of service.
• Annual leave: Up to 21 days paid at the end of each 12-month contract.
• Project Holidays: 10 paid holidays.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

• Passport valid for at least 12 months with at least 6 total blank visa pages.
• Driver’s license valid for at least 6 months.
• Updated COVID vaccination certificate.
• Medical exam report as advised.
