Crop Protection Manager – Chui Farm

Job Objective:

Chui Farm, a division of AAA Growers, specializes in rose production for export. As the Crop Protection Manager, your primary responsibility is to oversee all crop protection activities on the farm. This entails ensuring the seamless execution of crop protection measures and addressing any challenges that may arise in collaboration with the management team. Tasks and Responsibilities:

1. Prepare chemical orders in accordance with the approved chemical budget.
2. Ensure and oversee periodic inspection of spray equipment to ensure proper functioning.
3. Oversee daily crop protection activities across the farm.
4. Conduct proactive crop protection analysis and evaluation regularly, making recommendations for maximum production based on the results.
5. Proactively address hiccups or issues affecting crop protection activities by identifying root causes and implementing solutions.
6. Maintain budgets and optimize expenses, ensuring adherence to agreed-upon budgets.
7. Set policies and processes, capturing all procedures in policies for employee access. Update crop protection procedures and policies in line with new developments.
8. Provide appropriate training and education on the safe use and operation of equipment and spraying techniques.
9. Ensure employees work productively and develop professionally, recognizing employees as the organization’s biggest asset.

Your Profile:

1. Graduate in Horticulture, Floriculture, or Agriculture.
2. 5-7 years’ experience in the Flower Industry, preferably in Roses Production.
3. 3 years’ experience in a similar or related position.
4. Excellent leadership and management skills.
5. Analytical mindset, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and a team player fostering cross-functional collaboration.
6. Good command of the English language, both verbal and written.
7. Proficient computer skills in MS Office applications, particularly Excel.
