Key Responsibilities:

  1. Identify, screen, and consent study participants for the research study.
  2. Trace participants for follow-up clinics.
  3. Collect and analyze community health data for planning healthcare intervention programs.
  4. Mobilize communities to identify health challenges and facilitate the development of promotional materials.
  5. Participate in health education and promotion in the communities.
  6. Work with healthcare teams as a community health resource person.
  7. Develop and implement work plans, budgeting, and support supervision.
  8. Coordinate and support realist evaluation studies involving community health volunteers and linked health facilities.
  9. Develop and review study Case Record Forms (CRFs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), ensuring standardization.
  10. Train and supervise data clerks supporting community health volunteers and create field reports for investigators.
  11. Coach and train community health volunteers on specific interventions.
  12. Liaise with relevant stakeholders in the registration of households on eCHIS and ensure data is linked with facility EMRs.
  13. Monitor and evaluate participant recruitment and retention.
  14. Monitor compliance with regulatory, ethical requirements, and study protocols within the project.
  15. Oversee documentation of all aspects of the project.

Vacancy Requirements:

  1. Diploma in Community Health and Development, Nutrition, Social Work, or a relevant qualification from a recognized institution.
  2. At least five years of work experience in a research institution/organization.
  3. Ability to speak Dholuo language.
  4. Proficient in computer applications.
  5. Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  6. Must be computer literate.
  7. Team player.
